Today, Todd and I had family over since it was the one year anniversary of losing my grandmother, Mary. We enjoyed the company of my Mom, her husband Rick, my brother Jeffrey, my brother Michael, his wife Danielle, and our niece and nephew, Aeva and Will. It was wonderful cooking out, eating plenty, watching the kids play, seeing the dogs bond with everyone, probably drinking too much, and really just simply being together. Mary would've had a great time, too!
Unfortunately, I was so busy prepping and cooking food that I took very few shots. I did get this one of Michael and Will - who is almost three and has never liked having his picture taken. However, now instead of crying, Will just makes goofy faces. He'll LOVE these when he grows up! :)

Did you know that Christmas appears in March?!
Todd bought me flower bulbs for Christmas and planted them a while back. Tulips (one of my favorite flowers) are slowly beginning to come in, and I can't wait to see how gorgeous they are!

I met two very special people for the first time tonight!
Yes, I FINALLY met my niece True and my nephew Hayden. Aren't they precious? We are blessed to have three nephews and six nieces - all of whom are beautiful and wonderful!

On the 21st, we had several inches of snow. About 48 hours later, wouldn't you say we've thawed out now?

The atrium at the Gaylord Texas was FULL of incredibly beautiful plants, trees, flowers, and other foliage. Both of these are SOOC, and I can imagine how beautiful they'll be after editing.

A room with a view at the Gaylord Texan, where we spent a little mini-moon to celebrate our anniversary last week.
SOOC - f/9, 1/125, ISO-100,
The view to the sky from the center of the atrium. It was such a beautiful place with lots & lots of great things to shoot. And I did!

Meet Samson. He and I took a little drive to Oklahoma, where he met another friend who continued his journey to safety. Instead of being gassed in a shelter, he is now living safely in Minnesota with a forever family.
I think he kinda loved me, too. What a precious boy.

A day at the dog park. Hey everyone - look here! No, here! Good, Todd. Dogs . . . look here!
Have you ever shot three dogs successfully? I obviously haven't. YET.

My best friend, Sylvia, and I in a shot taken by Todd (SOOC). Not a great photo, but it's what I have for today!

Today was Open House at the school where I teach. Of course, teachers scramble around trying to prepare and make everything wonderful for our parents in attendance. I always look forward to the younger grades (PK - 2) displaying their lovely art work and Writing on the bulletin boards in the main hallway.
Case in point:
This had me laughing ALL.DAY.LONG!! Kindergarten has been studying Texas. "Howdy partner! I'm Cowgirl. I like to catch horses." Or something like that. :)

Three years ago, we became husband and wife. What an incredible day March 10, 2007 was, and what a helluva ride it's been since then. I can't imagine that ride being with anyone else.

This is why I don't have many shots of Mackey:
This is the best shot I've gotten of him since before Christmas. I swear he can smell my camera --- before I shoot, he turns & runs. Ugh!

Today was gross and rainy, so my hopes in shooting outdoors were gone. I bring you the dirty shovel:
This weather better clear up soon, or I'm going to go nuts!!!
