On days when the sun is visible, this is what greets me along my way to work.

It's actually a reflection of the rising sun on a glass building that I pass each morning and each evening. Although it is bright, I find beauty and inspiration in it which often helps me start my day.

It's blurry, but it's true. I pulled the baby from the King Cake my team had this week!

Honestly, I don't know exactly what it means. I was just happy to get a baby!

The scrapbook retreat is over. The car is packed. I'm heading home.

I am SO.VERY.TIRED. Lots of creativity, friends, fun, snacks, wine and almost NO sleep, but it was all worth it. I can't wait for the next retreat!

I bring to you the ugliest scrapbook page in the WORLD!

The photo makes the page look better than it actually was. Don't worry, I ripped it out of my book and started over.

SCRAPBOOK RETREAT!!!

It might look like a mess, but it's MY mess! And look at the cool page I made of me with my Dad & StepDad when the doors to the sanctuary were opened, and we walked down that long aisle to Todd.

Straightened my hair for today. Took a self portrait before picking up my class.

You probably can't see all the dark red I had added. I like it, though. Pretty wild & crazy for a simple blonde like myself.

Then I got bored.

Luckily nobody walked in my classroom to see me doing this. Not that I would've cared.

Finally acted my age. Well, at least I did for a second.

It'll be curly again tomorrow, and I'll still be trying to entertain myself.

My feet were cold as I was getting ready yesterday morning, so I grabbed whatever was near. Todd's big slippers make my feet look small!

BYOS Night

Build Your Own Salad . . . We don't like the same stuff on our salads, so I recently started BYOS. Todd came in the kitchen tonight and said, "I shall build my own salad," in his deep voice. :)

After we sat down to eat I thought "tomatoes!" Todd did say, "Yeah, I didn't want to say anything." Did he not want tomatoes? He got 'em.

We also had my famous chicken pot pie. Well, I'm famous for it in my family!!

From the pics on this Project 365 blog, you'd think I cook a lot. I DO NOT!

Welcome baby Carter! Our friends, Mike & Sonya welcomed Carter into their family this morning. Big sister Cori finally got to meet him this afternoon. Soon after, we followed. He's such a cute boy!

The new family:

Did you know that I have a cat? I do!!! Our big dogs often overshadow Mindy, my kitty. She's actually an old lady. I became Mindy's mom on February 3, 1993 - almost 16 years ago! She is now a scrawny, scratchy looking 16 year old, but she's still kicking. Since moving into a house of dogs (not including Todd, of course), Mindy took some time to adjust. All Steve wants to do is sniff her but, and she will have nothing of it. I don't blame her.

Since Mindy can't just sleep wherever she wants on the bed, she now has HER spot. It is along the edge of the bed by my pillows.

It looks weird, but she faces the wall and listens for dogs. If Steve jumps on the bed, she'll hiss and hit him in the face if he gets too close.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Project 365

While I definitely don't need a new blog to manage, I need a good format for my Project 365.

Since my awesome & creative friend, Misty, told me about this website that she plans to use in binding her blog. I decided that blogging my photographs each day this year would be the best way to keep everything together in case I plan to bind my blog at the end of each year.

So here it goes - Todd and Kristin 365!
