Awesome candle I bought at Hobby Lobby yesterday. The smell really reminds me of my grandmother. FYI - Mary didn't smell like a "grandmother." ;)

I know the purpose of Project 365 is to record the pictures you take each day. Well, this is my blog so I'm doing it like I want. Here are a few of the many wonderful photos I have of my grandmother.

Mary (holding me) with my Mom and Dad. Circa mid-year, 1968.

Mary, my Mom, and I on my wedding day. March 10, 2007.

Mary, my Mom and I - The last photo I have of us together, taken at our house in July of 2008.

I can't believe that I will never see Mary again. At least not here on Earth. I love you and miss you terribly. I cannot believe that you are gone. Rest in peace, my little Grandmother.

This will be the worst day of the year for my family. We lost my grandmother Mary today.

This morning Mary brightened Heaven while leaving a hole here on Earth. She passed away peacefully at home with my grandfather nearby and my mom by her side at 5:20 am. Mary’s battle with cancer lasted almost 30 years, and she fought with courage, strength, style, and grace. Our family is thankful that we had Mary as long as we did, yet her absence is already profound and painful. We rejoice that she is now with the Lord and the many love ones that preceded her in death.

(Disclaimer: Ignore my fat, wrinkly hands and the terrible color of this photo that makes my nails look yellow & green.)

Todd proposed!

Again!!! Actually, my "romantical" husband recommended that we have our wedding rings engraved for our two year anniversary. I got my ring back today. And made Todd ask me to marry him. Again. I said "YES!". Again.

He said I can't plan another wedding. EVER. He's so unromantical sometimes.

Calm before the storm . . .

All of our fourth graders participated in a teleconference with the National Archive Museum. It was great! Until the storm came . . .

Well, there wasn't actually a storm - just a fire drill! Right in the middle of our session! In the rain! Yes, we are a flexible group. The kids did great. Not even a fake fire can keep us down.

Want! I might break down and try to make these. Maybe.

Of course my dogs and cat would be MUCH cuter than the ones shown here.

Why can't the garbage collectors put the cans back where they found them?

My weekend before:

Although you can't see it, I spent several hours ripping out Asian Jasmine that had previously been ground cover for this bed around our Magnolia. Man hands were killing me before I even finished.

My weekend after (taken w/ cell phone):

I planted Zinnias, Mexican Heather, and Verbena. I planted them sparsely and mulched in between. You can't really tell here, but I promise it looks better than this photo shows!

Spent Sunday morning freezing to death watching my oldest niece, Whitney, and her Olympic Development team play soccer. Her team won 2nd place in the nation!

I'm so proud of Whit. She's really a great kid.

THIS is what caused the massive dog-barking meltdown this morning that awoke me from my restful Spring Break slumber.

One trapped, hundreds to go! Enjoy your life in the park, you little wall-scraping, wire-chewing, nesting, scampering, scurrying bastard.

Leftovers from "Date Day." Lunch Taco Cabana & a movie at the IMax Theater. I didn't eat much at lunch, so I could enjoy my movie popcorn. I still couldn't eat it all!

SUCH A BEAUTIFUL DAY! It was so beautiful outside that I opened up my sunroof and ran some errands (including dropping off donations at Goodwill).

All gorgeous days should end on a patio, sipping an ice, cold beer with friends.

"Please be quiet!! I'm trying to sleep!" says Pippin.

It's so cute when she sleeps that way.

The top of the pineapple I cut up today.

I ate the entire core out of that bad boy. I'm sure that some of you understand why.

This is the front of a cheap t-shirt I got for free off the internt. Todd hates it.

However, I wore it tonight and made him laugh. Happy Two Year Anniversary to Us!

We are ready for TAKS. The room is covered in brown paper, so as to prevent 9 year olds from cheating on the test. You know how crazy nine and ten year olds can get.

Some of you will get how I odd/funny I find this license plate. Either this person is wanting to create a child or has initials that ladies in the TTC arena can understand!
